Thank you for consulting the Conservation Team on this application.This property is within the Brancaster Conservation Area and also the Norfolk Coast National Landscape and is therefore a sensitive location. However, this proposal for a cart shed/garage and a replacement pergola appear appropriate in design and scale and will cause no harm to the setting of the historic landscape.
The Conservation Team therefore have no objections to the proposal.
However, the application form states 'See drawings' regarding the proposed materials and finishes, but, these are not mentioned on the submitted drawings.
Please therefore condition materials to be timber, not composite cladding, as this is not an appropriate material within this protected site.
