The negative impact on Bloodgate Fort and its setting in largely unspoilt open country.

The prominent and intrustive design of the "pods" while these make a tenuous link to WW11 design, the original structures were purely functional rapidly built in a national emergency.
The proposed buildings as holiday units have an entirely different function as such should not be allowed on such a prominent visually intrusive location.

The new development will detract from the setting and historic importance of the bunker and associated structures. Its rural isolated location is one of the key features of its original placement design and purpose. The new development would destroy the intrinsic value of the site

The excavation, building works and provision of power by solar, drainage, water supply will risk damage to buried historic remains and archaeology associated with the site and iron age Bloodgate hill.

The use servicing and maintenance of the site will increase traffic both domestic and commercial ( waste, sewerage etc), on a narrow lane close to the junction.

If there is a proven need for additional holiday accommodation there are many more suitable sites close to the village of South Creake with its amenities, utilities in discreet locations that will not ruin landscape and views or detract and degrade historic structures and the Iron Age fort.

If there is an element of risk to these structures due to vandalism improved security is all that is needed or they could be put in the care of a body who would truly protect the area and structures.

I feel that the plans for the self contained units in this planning application will be an eyesore on the land which is such a lovely area at present. Bloodgate Hill is an extremely busy road and the traffic is very fast which will be very dangerous for more people using it to come and go from holiday lets. I think that it is very discriminating to put the proposed lets on such high steps which doesn't allow for disabled or infirm users to be able to access. I really hope that the plans aren't passed in this instance.
