I have just been informed of this matter by a neighbour, I wonder why we have not been informed ?
we put in planning permission last year for an extension and all our neighbours received a letter from the council .
We are concerned about noise and more traffic , our road is private but we have lots of people using it to turn round , I understand a gate was put into the wood from our private road , please could you update us with more details of the plans
Thank you

We are mindful that properly managing and maintaining land and natural wildlife habitats costs money and requires significant effort. It is unrealistic to expect that the owners of that land should have to shoulder the significant amount of that effort this involves along with its expense without any way of defraying those costs.
When the campsite and the shepherds' huts were in operation last year we did not experience any negative behaviour or noise from the campsite users.
Therefore, in principle, we do not object to this application although we can see that certain aspects of this application will need further clarification.

Good afternoon,
I found out about this application via a neighbour who saw it in the paper, so I'm disappointed there hasn't been adequate communication. There have been no obvious postings of the application locally.
It was my understanding when we moved here that the woodland is protected by a TPO, therefore could not be used commercially or changed to such extremes. We've already seen a dramatic reduction in wildlife since the undergrowth was cleared, this would only further that with vehicle movements and increased human activity. There have been nesting Red Kites in that section of woodland in the last few years, and it's my understanding they're still protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The proposed change of use would fundamentally alter the character of the woodland and could result in increased light pollution, litter, waste management issues and disturbance to all wildlife, not just the Red Kites.
I am also concerned about the increased risk of fire. Campsites commonly involve cooking equipment, barbecues, campfires and other ignition sources. In a woodland setting containing protected trees and wildlife habitats, even a small fire could have significant consequences for both the environment and neighbouring properties.
In addition, the proposal is likely to generate noise and disturbance, particularly during evenings, early mornings and holiday periods when campsites are most heavily used. Noise from guests, vehicles, outdoor activities and site operations would adversely affect the tranquillity currently enjoyed by local residents, including those who may need to sleep during the daytime due to shift work.
For these reasons, I respectfully request that the Local Planning Authority refuses this application.

Having only just found out about this plan I'm concerned on the possible impact of a campsite on our door step, i.e. - traffic and pedestrians using our private road as in the recent past the owners have quietly put in a gate on the end of our private road even cutting a tree down to gain access to our entrance. Possible odours from barbecues etc, noise from the campsite, people are on holiday and tend to party. Also what sewerage facility's have they?
I thought Lifewood had restrictions on development and the cutting down of trees?
